Reading this synopsis of TF2 was about as mind-numbing as sitting through the first movie was, but at least it only took a few minutes.

You fail at abbreviations.

"TF2" is short for "Team Fortress 2". And, no, it will never be short for "Transformers:Revenge of the Fallen".

Meh. My blog, my abbreviations. As a proud PS3 owner, I owe Valve nothing.

If nothing else, Transformers fans have been abbreviating the name to "TF" for years now.

It's about clarity.

No reasonable search will yield TF as an abbreviation for Transformers without actually including "Transformers". So, in terms of conveying meaning, it's useless.

I'm sorry to have addled your beautfiul mind so for however many precious seconds it took for you to discern what I meant by TF2.

Since there's no way under a vanilla sky to discern what you meant without clicking your link, I can only assume you intended to crap some text randomly into your blog and ended up with what appears above.

A blog is lot like a story, with recurring themes and characters. My loathing of Michael Bay's Transformers has been mentioned a number of times here. Team Fortress 2 has not. I have not written once about Team Fortress 2. I have never played Team Fortress 2. This response includes my first ever use of the words "team" and "fortress" in that order on this blog.

Two days ago, on this very blog, I wrote a short rant where I referred to a current film in theaters as Transformers 2 (something the title in the article I linked to also does). This is not the actual title of the film. I am aware of this. I don't care. I assumed the 10 or so people (if that) who actually read this blog wouldn't need need me to spell out what I meant by TF2. And even if I thought it might be confusing, one would think the word "transformers" appearing in the link itself might be a dead giveaway. Or that the phrase "the first movie" just might mean I wasn't referring to a video game. Or that the few seconds it takes to visit the link is a small price to pay for clarity.

Again, I apologize for the confusion and sorry to have wasted your time.

I watched these two TF2 review videos last night, and I think this covers TF2 rather well-
http://www.spoonyexperiment.com/2009/06/25/transformers-revenge-of-the-fallen-review/

The one above is very long and rather entertaining.

This video is much shorter, but that might make it all the more sweeter:

Still, hearing some of the many problems of the TF2 movie and with people thinking it's great makes me worry we might get to see Idiocracy's "ASS" much earlier than previously expected.

Got to go, I think a Spah is sappin mah sentry!

From my linked article:

Could you sum up the film in one line of its dialogue?
"I am standing directly beneath the enemy's scrotum."

I had to read that a few times before it sunk in that that's actual dialogue from the film. Ye gods.

Did Bay know what "Robots" are?

Meh, why let standard concepts and conventions get in the way of forced raunchy jokes?
